MRE only post items using a delivery signature service, which helps us track your parcel to delivery. Within the UK we use Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded Delivery, for items outside the UK we use the Royal Mail International Signature service. At MRE we charge for postage and packaging, which is calculated by weight, and you will see the shipping weight of every item on our stocklist and the total weight of your purchases in your shopping basket checkout. See additional notes below for information about parcel insurance, and saving postage costs by combining orders.

MRE reserve the right to amend the shipping charges when our postage costs change, we try and ensure we use the best value service for our customers needs. Please note we are bound by the Royal Mail Terms & Conditions in the event of late deliveries and cannot guarantee any definite delivery times, although we always try and get your purchase to you in the best possible time. Please note we cannot pursue late delivery enquiries until after 15 working days for UK items and 20 working days for items outside the UK.
From 9 January 2012 Royal Mail do not pay any compensation for items posted to addresses within the UK which includes using the Recorded Delivery service. The maximum compensation payable by Royal Mail is £46.00 on packages posted to addresses outside the UK using the International Signature service. MRE are bound by the Royal Mail Terms & Conditions and are not responsible for compensation unless the option to add additional insurance is used when placing your order. INSURANCE is available in all departments for UK and International orders.
Saving postage costs - we are happy to combine orders to save postage costs where possible. We are able to retain paid for items up to a maximum of 3 months to combine with additional orders, orders must be posted after 3 months if no extra orders are available. There is no limit to the number of orders that can be combined within 3 months, but the combined weight may make the revised postage cost prohibitive. A fee of £1.00 for each additonal UK order and £2.00 for each additional International order combined into a single shipment will be deducted from all postage refunds to cover card refund payment charges.
Note - VAT is charged on postage for parcels posted to EEC Countries.
